Please see DEWALT’s recall notice below: DEWALT Model DWS779, DWS780 and DHS790 Miter Saws Recall Notice, August 2022 In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, DEWALT is recalling those products to address a rear guard assembly that can break or detach, posing an injury hazard to the user.The following models are affected: This recall involves DEWALT Model DWS779, DWS780 and DHS790 (designated DHS790AB or DHS790AT2 on the carton) Miter Saws. The saws have a yellow body with black accents and the DEWALT logo. The model number is printed on the saw’s nameplate. Only saws with date codes 2019 04 through 2022 04 are affected. See the images below for model number and date code locations. If your saw does not have a date code or you cannot locate it, please contact DEWALT. Saws with a green dot on the name plate rating label or a black dot on the arm of the saw (shown below) are already inspected and not affected. If your saw is affected, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY!
